Melted Crayon Stamping

Here is how I did the "LOVE" letters in Everett's room.
I sketched out the letters onto my canvas using a pencil. Then I chose the colors I wanted for each letter. I used about 3 or 4 different shades of the same color for each letter. I tore the paper off of the crayons (a crucial step as I found out.) :) Then using a candle that I had in the house I melted the tip of the crayon and then "stamped" it onto my canvas. I had to remelt the crayon every time I stamped. It was rather time consuming, but very fun. Here is the finished product:

At the end I just used my glue gun to stick white ribbon to the backs so I could hang them in Everett's room. And there you have it! Two different melted crayon projects! :)

  1. This is so beautiful. Although it's time-consuming, it's so pretty & easy. By the way, did you just let the crayon drip or stamped it everytime on the board? When I tried to stamp it, some of the colour stuck back on the crayon.

    1. Glad you were able to try it out! I melted the crayon just enough so that it was about to drip right before I stamped it. I know what you mean, though. Sometimes if I didn't melt the crayon long enough the color would stick back on the crayon when I tried to stamp it. :) Thanks for you question!
